Last night Simon & I just stayed in, he built a fire for us and we had another delicious comfort food dinner - a whole roasted seasoned cauliflower with mashed potatoes and white bean gravy. It was so filling and tasty. We went to bed fairly early and are enjoying another day with no appointments on the calendar. We are making progress on Christmas gifts, cooking, and getting ready for Thanksgiving. Pretty quiet around here and we like it that way.

Mindfulness: I am doing well with no distracted eating. However, yesterday I realized my portions are still a bit big, I am feeling really full. Because the food tastes so great, I eat a pretty large portion. I don't need to restrict portions on this plan, but I also don't need to eat past full. For the next few days, I will focus on really stopping when I am full, even if it means not cleaning my plate. I am a member of the clean plate club. I don't know why, I have always done this my whole life. I can put away food or toss a little bit, I don't need to eat it if I'm not hungry.
Enjoy your Sunday friends. I will be gearing up for a very busy Thanksgiving week, starting with a grocery shopping trip tomorrow. I hope it's not TOO crazy at Meijer on Monday morning.
