The good news is the sugar cravings are gone, I don't want it all because I know what it does to my body making me all puffy and I just don't want to feel that way. I also know I can go cook up a batch of PD approved muffins, brownies, pie, or any other PD dessert if I want something sweet. I think I will make another apple pie this week.
Exercise: Rest Day - I wanted to get a workout in yesterday to start the week off right, but my to-do list got in the way and I was working on things all day and night until about 9pm. Better luck today.
Breakfast: Savory Steel Cut Oats with greens, tea
Lunch: Small bowl of PD Minestrone & an orange
Snack: 2 cranberry orange muffins (I was quite hungry, that small bowl of soup wasn't enough for lunch)
Dinner: Thanksgiving leftovers again. I need to get cooking, kind of sick of these leftovers. PD Holiday Loaf, PD Stuff Yourself Stuffing, baked potato, PD Mushroom gravy, served over a bed of baby spinach.

Mindfulness: I had a great discussion with my best friend yesterday and we talked about journaling, overeating, some of the reasons I do the things I do. I had a light bulb moment about self-care and taking time to recharge, rejuvenate, fill myself up. I get run down with all of the things I think I need to do all the time (I am a big list-maker, always making lists on paper or in my head of what I could/should do every day). I mostly do this to myself. I need to take more time to meditate, have quiet alone time, exercise or do yoga, have more self-care, and just not do things that I don't want or need to do. I know this about me, but it was great to really highlight it in our talk yesterday. Last night I put away the laptop and went upstairs in my meditation space and really enjoyed some quiet time.
Today I am taking our little boxer mutt Riley to the Howl-A-Day resort for a bath & pedicure so he is all clean and pretty for Christmas. I will stop in to my friend Ann's restaurant, Annabelle's Own, and hopefully have a good catch up with her. I will cook a few new things so I don't have to eat Thanksgiving leftovers again ;-) Oh, and a workout......see how these lists get going! I will do these things while breathing and working at a relaxed pace.
