Simon was asking me about Thanksgiving and I told him my plan to bring a few healthy dishes, ask for a plain baked potato, ask for oatmeal, tea & fruit for breakfast (we are staying overnight with supportive family), and voila! good to go. It is just about healthy boundaries, good choices, and asking for what I need instead of just eating any old thing. He agreed, it doesn't have to be that hard, just ask for what I need and only eat what I choose. I can't wait to report on a successful day, even on Thanksgiving Day.
OK, on to my report from yesterday.
Exercise: FIRM Workout Video (Total Body Time-Crunch) includes a bit of cardio and full body strength training. Felt great.
Breakfast: oatmeal with a banana, a bit of soy milk, and vanilla; green tea
Lunch: salad with power greens mix, tomatoes, PD Spicy Bird Seed, PD Creamy Ranch Dressing; leftover pesto burger from Happy Herbivore Light & Lean on Ezekiel bun with PD House Mayo, greens, and tomato.
Dinner: PD Sloppy Jerrys (lentil based sloppy joe recipe) served open faced on an Ezekiel bun, a big salad very similar to my lunch salad with a few extra chopped veggies, and PD Breakfast Brownie bites for dessert.

Mindfulness: All meals were eaten sitting down with no distractions, focusing on the food and enjoying every bite. I didn't have any cravings and felt satisfied all day.
I was in the kitchen cooking up a storm yesterday to keep us stocked up on healthy foods. We are usually on a lazy schedule on the weekends, so I didn't really have a snack yesterday, just late breakfast, late lunch, and fairly late dinner. Dinner was so delicious and filling, my belly was happy and I didn't need anything else while we watched a great documentary on George Harrison last night.
Today is off to a great start, I will do a bit more cooking today and we are starting to book some 2015 vacations or long weekends away. We are also starting the process of de-cluttering as we plan to downsize in the Spring. Exciting stuff happening in the Parsley household. I hope you are enjoying the rest of your weekend.
