Simon and I are on the road this weekend. I get to test out my first mobile blog post. Gotta love technology!
We had to hit the road this morning, headed to Canton in Metro Detroit area. These kids soccer weekends are not the healthiest affairs. Staying in a hotel, eating with the kids at unhealthy chain restaurants, not having access to a kitchen.
So, I threw together a healthy feed bag for the road which will allow us to have plenty of fresh fruits, veggies, water, even a baked potato topped with leftover red lentils with spinach & roasted garlic. Delicious. And I can pass up unhealthy restaurant fare knowing I can fill up with my potato, veggies, and snacks.
We arrived around 11am, I am snacking on an apple, staying hydrated, enjoying a warm sunny day, and my lentil stuffed potato is warming up on the dash of the car. A little prep goes a long way and I won't regret eating junk and then not feeling well.
I love sharing tips & tricks for staying healthy on the go. It really is fairly simple to stay on plan no matter the circumstances. 😃
